About the event:

Our mission is to make the Holiday Season a little brighter for those who need a helping hand.

The Christmas Cheer Foundation supports local non-profit organizations whose efforts provide assistance and programs to disadvantaged families during the Christmas season and food security for other initiatives throughout the year. Its annual Christmas Cheer breakfast is one of the largest charitable events in the Ottawa area during the holiday season. Held the first Friday of each December, it is recognized as the unofficial launch of the holiday season with the Ottawa business community. Over 800 guests from Ottawa’s business, professional, political and charitable communities gather to ring in the holidays and raise much needed funds for less fortunate Ottawa families with overwhelming financial struggles. Christmas Cheer is dedicated to helping to alleviate these problems by donating the over $100,000 it raises annually to numerous worthy charities such as the Ottawa Food Bank, Caring and Sharing, Shepherds of Good Hope and the Caldwell Family Centre. The 2023 event will be held in-person at the Infinity Convention Centre, and will look to have a record number of attendees. Running from 7am to 9am, the event will once again be hosted by our friends from CTV News Ottawa, Graham Richardson and Patricia Boal.

To reach our goal of raising $100,000 for local food banks and charities, we need help from the business community. Raffle tickets and door prizes contribute tremendously to our fundraising.

In the past, these donations have been primarily made up of the following:

– Gift certificates

– Product/service donations

– Gift baskets

Supporters will be acknowledged on our social media, at the event and listed on our website.
