Closure | Partial closure of Stony Swamp parking lots and trails

Dec. 4 to June 30, 2024

A section of Stony Swamp’s parking lots P5, P7 and P13 will be partially closed for the installation of a boardwalk and maintenance of a footbridge. Parking lot P9 will be fully closed from December 4, 2023, to March 15, 2024. Parking lot P10 will be fully closed from March 15, 2023, to June 30, 2024. Sections of Stony Swamp trails will also be partially closed during the construction.

Parking lot P13 and Trail no. 27

  • Schedule: December 4, 2023, to January 30, 2024.
  • Impact on motorists: Partial closure of parking lot P13. Expect congestion in the parking lot.
  • Impact on pedestrians and cyclists: This partial closure will affect access to Trail no. 27 (refer to map, section A) Please take alternate routes to access the trail.

Parking lot P9 and Jack Pine Trail no. 26

  • Schedule: December 4, 2023, to March 15, 2024.
  • Impact on motorists: Full closure of parking lot P9. Please use other parking lots.
  • Impact on pedestrians and cyclists: This partial closure will affect access to Jack Pine Trail no. 26 (refer to map, section B). Please take alternate routes to access the trail.

Parking lot P7 and Sarsaparilla Trail no. 22

  • Schedule: February 15, 2024, to April 30, 2024.
  • Impact on motorists: Partial closure of parking lot P7. Expect congestion in the parking lot.
  • Impact on pedestrians and cyclists: This partial closure will affect access to Sarsaparilla Trail no. 22 (refer to map, section C) Please take alternate routes to access the trail.

Parking lot P10 and Lime Kiln Trail no. 25

  • Schedule: March 15, 2024, to June 30, 2024.
  • Impact on motorists: Full closure of parking lot P10. Please use other parking lots.
  • Impact on pedestrians and cyclists: This partial closure will affect access to Lime Kiln Trail no. 25 (refer to map, section D). Please take alternate routes to access the trail.

Stony Swamp Trail no. 24 closure between waypoints 24F and 24E

  • Schedule: May 7, 2024, to June 15, 2024.
  • Impact on motorists: No impact.
  • Impact on pedestrians and cyclists: Access to Stony Swamp Trail no. 24 between waypoints 24F and 24E will be closed (refer to map, section F). Please take alternate routes to access the trail.

Parking lot P5 and Old Quarry Trail no. 23

  • Schedule: May 20, 2024, to June 30, 2024.
  • Impact on motorists: Partial closure of parking lot P5. Expect congestion in the parking lot.
  • Impact on pedestrians and cyclists: This partial closure will affect access to Old Quarry Trail no. 23 (refer to map, section E). Please take alternate routes to access the trail.
